Cherstin Toney Nominates Her Choices for 2019’s Most Trend-Forward Kitchen Remodels.
It’s that time of year. Everyone is making their list and checking it twice. And here at Gather & Spruce, we’re no exception. As we pound in the last project nail for the year, we sat down with our Founder, Cherstin Toney, and asked her to share her favorite kitchen remodels of last year, and what makes them so special. If they have you dreaming of what we could do for your kitchen, why not put Gather & Spruce on your list?
1. Black Magic
Stunning matte black cabinets feature prominently in this Stapleton kitchen reno. To add warmth and contrast, the space was embellished with modern, brushed brass, a honey-hued butcher block peninsula, and floating shelves. Who says opposites don’t attract?
2. Brick Beauty
Warm exposed brick serves up the perfect backdrop for the high-contrast cabinetry and matte black fixtures in this 1897 City Park West kitchen redo. Luckily, only minimal tuckpointing was needed to restore the brick hidden under layers and decades of drywall and plaster.
3. Gothic Glam
This historically registered Highlands kitchen remodel was a favorite despite the challenges of merging old with new. Existing ceiling details guided the renovation, inspiring among other things, the Gothic-arched cabinet doors, bronze handcrafted backsplash, and column refrigerator and freezer doors.
4. Gym Dandy
This small condo kitchen in Park Hill was desperate for pantry and seating space. Taking a clue from the vintage poster collection on the walls, we lettered in style by finishing the remodel with a throwback black and white high school gym LVT floor.
5. View Master
This kitchen, redesigned to take full advantage of the Rockies, isn’t short of breathtaking details inside. From top to bottom, the views are awe-inspiring. Custom cabinets with modified shaker door style, punctuate the dark timbers. Saltillo floors throughout add warmth. And the handcrafted Scirroco by Arto tiles take this kitchen to new heights.
